It's Time to Change How Support Shows Up

Why Partnerships Matter (and What We’re Doing About It)

In the five years I cared for my father, we had doctors, nurses, social workers, home health aides, and specialists come in and out of our lives. They asked all the right questions about medications, meals, vitals, mobility. But in all that time, not one of them offered a single resource to support me as the family caregiver. Not one.

We weren’t new to the system, we were in it. Appointments, hospital stays, in-home care. And yet, somehow, there was no mention of respite services. No mention of caregiver support programs. No connection to grief or mental health tools. It’s not because those resources didn’t exist. It’s because they weren’t built into the point of care. There was no system in place to make sure the people holding everything together got what they needed to keep going.

That’s what we’re here to change.

The CareGivers Grief Commission was created to name the invisible weight family caregivers carry and to fill the gap that too many institutions overlook. But we also know this work isn’t something we can or should do alone. If we want to change outcomes for families, we have to change the access points. And that starts with partnerships.

We are inviting aligned organizations, providers, agencies, platforms, churches, emergency services, care teams to collaborate with us in getting these resources directly into the hands of families. Whether it’s through collaborative distribution, shared programming, or joining one of our Commission Labs to rethink caregiver care from the inside out, we’re opening the door to work together.

Because it’s not just about acknowledging that caregivers are struggling. It’s about doing something different and doing it together.

If you’re working with families, inside their homes, inside their systems, or at any point in their caregiving journey, we want to talk to you.

Whether you’re a healthcare provider, a nonprofit, a union, or a care platform, you’re already in the room. And that means you have the power to help get life-changing tools into the hands of the people who need them most.

Let’s work together to shift how family support shows up in real life.

We’re ready to collaborate. The only question is, Are you?
